The HBTS 2017 New Year Meal took place on the 29th January at the Rim Nam Restaurant in Hebden Bridge. The Thai food was delicious and we had a lovely time.
Return friendship visit from Hebden Bridge to Paratico
David Parry, Jane Jackson, June Cammack & Eleanor Parry were in Paratico from the 23rd to the 25th April 2016 to continue our discussions on friendship links and as youth exchanges. Click on the yellow button for a report.
Jubilee weekend in Warstein to celebrate 20 years twinning with Hebden Bridge
A wonderful weekend in Warstein to ceebrate 20 years of twinning was complemented by a very special event. Birgit Wullner had arranged for the the band of the Royal Logistics Corps to give a benefit concert to raise money for flood releif in Hebden Royd. They were amazingly versatile and thrilled our German, French and Italian friends while raising €2562 to add to previous donations from our twin towns.
Twinning visit to St Pol May 25th to May 28th 2017
We set off for St Pol by coach from Hebden Bridge on a beautiful day in May and the sunshine seemed to continue all the way! New and old members alike made new friends and enjoyed their time with French hosts. Click here for more information on the trip!
Calder High students teach English at a summer camp in Paratico
Our first cultural exchange with Paratico took place from the 28th August to the 8th September 2017. HBTS President David Parry with Chloe Rowntree and Erin Yates from Calder High assisted at the summer camp. The girls stayed with local families and played a key role in the teaching.
