Twinning & friendship visits:
Our next formal exchange will be when a small number of us travel to Warstein to help celebrate 55 years of twinning between Warstein & St Pol (5th to the 7th April)
40 years twinning between Hebden Bridge & St Pol will be celebrated in St Pol in 2019 (provisional dates 30th May to June 2nd).
The HBTS Annual New Year meal took place at the Stubbing Wharf Hebden Bridge on Sunday 14th January 2018. A most enjoyable time was had by all!
The Blackshawhead Fête was on the 1st September 2018. The weather was fine, £92 raised and we talked to people about twinning.
The Mytholmroyd Gala on the 7th July was great. Fund raising was cut short by a certain football match - but it was a lovely day.
Maureen Dean's cream tea on Sunday 5th August was enjoyed by everyone. It also raised over £70 for the HBTS.
The Summer camp in Paratico from the 27th August to the 9th September was a great opportunity for strenghthening our friendship with Paratico in Italy. Kalifa Cuben, George English Burns & Erin Yates (from last year) travelled with Jane Jackson to teach the local children English. Kalifa, George and Erin were great representatives for Calder High and made an excellent impression.
We're just back from our informal exchange visit to Warstein for the 19th to the 21st October. We've booked our flights with Eurowings for Friday 19th and Monday 22nd. Contact us for further details.
New Year Lunch 2019: Sunday 13th January, 12.00 for 12,30 at the Stubbing Wharf. Do join us!
Our 2018 AGM took place on Monday 12th November. Click here for a copy of the minutes.
The HBTS will hold a Pie & Pea Supper on Friday 22nd February 2019. It will take place from 1930 to 2130 hours at the Church of the Good Shepherd. It will include a quiz and should be lots of fun. More details to follow...
